The data controller for this website is:

• Sunday letter and "Tell me when it's ready" list: your email address, which guide you're waiting for (if any), and a record of the consent wording you agreed to and when.
• Contact form: your name, email address and message.
• Orders: your name, email address, what you bought, the amount paid, and a record of when you agreed to start your download straight away.
• Lost download requests: the email address you enter.

• Sending the Sunday letter or telling you a guide is ready: consent. You can withdraw it at any time.
• Processing your order and sending your download: contract.
• Keeping order records for tax and accounts: legal obligation.
• Replying to your messages: legitimate interests in answering people who write to us.

• Our website hosting and database provider, which stores your details securely.
• Stripe, which takes payments. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us.
• Our email provider, which sends download emails.

We never sell your details or share them for anyone else's marketing.

We use no advertising or tracking cookies, and no analytics. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout pages to process payments safely and prevent fraud.

• Mailing list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
• Waitlist: deleted once we've told you the guide is ready, unless you also joined the letter.
• Contact messages: up to 12 months.
• Orders: 6 years, as the law requires for tax and accounting.

Every letter has an unsubscribe link. You can also email hello@grandpahamish.co.uk at any time to unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Email hello@grandpahamish.co.uk to use any of these rights.
